Thirsk Chiropractic Clinic
Jessica Johnson
Jessica is a graduate of the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University
of Glamorgan where she successfully completed a four year undergraduate
degree course. After spending her early years in Venezuela she was brought
up in Retford, Nottinghamshire where her interest in chiropractic and its
approach to health care was stimulated after receiving treatment for a low
back condition.
Jessica has conducted
a study into "the prevalence of dysmenorrhoea within a chiropractic
patient population." This area of women's health is a subject that
is little researched and which she would like to investigate further. She has also had a case study of a patient presenting with low back pain who had a "Porcelain Gallbladder" published in the prestigious chiropractic journal "The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics." As an extension of this interest Jessica is able to conduct Food Intolerance tests. For some people this is an importanct part of their care as an intolerance to certain food stuffs can cause many different symptoms.
Paediatric care is also an area of special interest having attended many seminars and workshops in this subject she has developed her expertise in this field and sees a growing number of children and babies.
Jessica is available for consultations on Tuesday, Wednesday morning and Friday. When not in the Thirsk Clinic she can be found at the Ripon Chiropractic Clinic. www.riponchiropractic.co.uk
